Accelerated Release Cycle for SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network Add-On 1.0 for SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ECC [BPI-596] Starting with the SAP Ariba 2602 release, the release frequency of the SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network AddOn 1.0 is increased to four times a year. This applies to SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, and SAP ECC. The AddOn support package will be released in February, May, August, and November, effective from SAP Ariba release 2602. SAP will provide support for all Add-On support packages released within the 12-month period preceding the most recent quarterly Add-On support package. Exclude Reverted Savings Allocations in Analytical Reports in Guided Sourcing [SOURCE-2559] This feature ensures that when draft savings allocations are reverted to the published state, the draft allocations are discarded. Consequently, only active (non-reverted) allocations are included in analytical reports generated from savings forms in guided sourcing full projects.
Ability to Export All Rows from Content Tables in Guided Sourcing Events [SOURCE-2590] This feature enables buyer users to export the complete set of rows from content tables within guided sourcing events.

A counteroffer is a special type of negotiation round in multi-round bidding, giving buyers an additional way to secure competitive pricing from suppliers.

It ensures that only suppliers who meet the specified eligibility criteria are included in a contract. These criteria can be validated during various stages, such as during contract creation, publication, or when transferring contract data and line items to integrated external systems like SAP ERP.

Ability to Add Collaborators to a Strategy and Plan Document [ARBCATA-31] This feature allows you to add team members maintained in the Manage Category Profile app as collaborators to a category strategy and plan document. Collaborators can create and manage the initiatives they own, promoting effective and collaborative strategy development. They can only edit the initiatives they've created, ensuring clear ownership and accountability. The category strategy and plan owner or lead category manager can assign one or more collaborators to support coordinated execution and contribute to the overall strategy. Additionally, the Assignee field is replaced with a new Owner field in all the applicable pages, including the initiatives page.
Enhancements to the Develop Strategy and Plan Page [ARBCATA-334] This feature adds filtering capabilities to the Develop Strategy and Plan page, enabling users to customize their view for greater efficiency. It also includes an Adapt Filters button, allowing users to choose which filters are displayed, ensuring only the most relevant criteria appear. Together, these enhancements help category managers quickly access and manage strategy and plan documents, streamlining workflows and boosting productivity.
Ability to Set Initiatives as Complete [ARBCATA-499] This feature allows you to manually mark active initiatives as complete for better organisation and visualization of your data. You can also filter completed initiatives across all relevant views to easily review and analyze progress.
Use of Spend Data for AI Recommendations in Category Segmentation [ARBCATA-504] This feature uses your organization's spend data to generate AI-based content recommendations in the Category Segmentation tool in SAP Ariba Category Management. By leveraging the additional spend attributes, the category segmentation tool provides segmentation results that more accurately reflects actual spending patterns, reducing manual effort and accelerating strategy development. The AI prompt now uses both the organization's total spend and category-level spend data to deliver faster, more accurate segmentation, while maintaining enterprise-wide security and data privacy.
Advanced Search for Strategy and Plan documents [ARBCATA-515] This feature allows you to search for strategy and plan documents using specific filter criteria such as cost structure components, value levers, initiatives, and goals. With these new search filters, category managers can quickly find and review relevant strategy and plan documents, improving decision-making and operational efficiency.
Enhancements to the Operational Reporting API of SAP Ariba Category Management [ARBCATA-555] This feature allows you to retrieve the following operational data as part of the strategy and plan document by using the operational reporting API for SAP Ariba Category Management: -Business units associated with the strategy and plan documents and -Regions selected as Global that are also associated with the strategy and plan documents
New Support Components for SAP Ariba Category Management [ARBCATA-604] With this feature, you now have five new support components for SAP Ariba Category Management on the SAP Support Portal. When creating a support case, select the support component that best matches the area you need help with.
Email and In-App Notifications for SAP Ariba Category Management [CATMAN-118] This feature introduces configurable email and in-app notifications in SAP Ariba Category Management, enabling users to stay informed and act quickly on critical activities. Notifications can be triggered for key events such as being assigned as a team member for a category, designated as the owner of an initiative, or when a strategy and plan document needs to be refreshed based on a configured time interval. These automated notifications help ensure that users are promptly alerted to relevant updates and required actions. Additionally, as part of this feature, approval-related emails have been enhanced to include direct links, allowing approvers to quickly access their assigned documents in My Inbox and submitters to directly open the approved or rejected strategy and plan in Develop Strategy and Plan. By enabling and managing notifications effectively, teams can drive greater alignment, accountability, and efficiency in executing category strategies.
Ability to Use the External Factors Analysis Tool in Category Management [CATMAN-446] This feature allows you to use the External Factors Analysis tool to model variations of the PESTLE framework within the strategy and plan document of SAP Ariba Category Management. External Factors Analysis, based on the PESTLE framework, is a widely used strategic method for analyzing key external influences and macro environmental factors that may impact a category. By leveraging this tool, category managers can better understand how external dynamics could affect their strategy and sourcing decisions, enabling them to identify risks and opportunities early and make more informed, proactive planning choices aligned with broader business objectives.

New User Research Panel Link in the User Feedback Survey [SLP-2333] When users complete the feedback survey, they now see a new user research panel link on the thank you page. Support for Cancellation and Deactivation of Requisitions [PROC-1010] This feature enables users belonging to the Purchasing Approvable Administrator group to cancel requisitions that are in the Canceling state using the Mark as Canceled option and deactivate requisitions that are in the Approved or Ordering states using the Deactivate option.
New Import Task for Deactivating Supplier Locations Associated with Ad Hoc Vendors [PROC-1016] Based on request, provides the ability in SAP Ariba Buying to deactivate Ad-Hoc Suppliers concerned with embedded vCard based procurement flow
Virtual Card Details for Virtual Card Orders [PROC-1025] With this feature, a new field called Payment Method is displayed on the purchase order details page for virtual card orders. When you click Payment Method, the virtual card details such as the card number, card status, and card holder name are displayed.
Display Requisition Amount in Approver's or Watcher's Currency [PROC-1029] With this feature, the amount in a requisition at the header or line level is displayed as a new field in the approver's or watcher's currency.
New Fields in Purchase Order cXML sent to SAP Business Network [PROC-624] With this feature, the company code, purchasing organization, and purchasing group fields are passed in the purchase order cXML that the SAP Ariba buying solution sends to SAP Business Network. The new fields help users in SAP Business Network to search for purchase orders by company code, purchasing organization, or purchasing group.

Hide Interim Supplier RFQ Bids [GUIDEB-1262] Guided buying can now hide interim supplier RFQ bids and display only the awarded bid to users.
Support for Hierarchical Service Items [GUIDEB-300] With this feature, you can better manage complex service procurement scenarios by grouping multiple items under a parent non-catalog service. Service hierarchies allow you to request a parent service and child items using one purchase requisition. Child items can include catalog and non-catalog services or goods. For example, you can create a non-catalog request for laptop repair service (parent service) and then add software maintenance service (child item) and computer cleaning kit (child item). Service hierarchies help to define how services are structured and delivered, improving efficiency when ordering services.
