Support for Hierarchical Service Items [GUIDEB-300]
With this feature, you can better manage complex service procurement scenarios by grouping multiple items under a parent non-catalog service. Service hierarchies allow you to request a parent service and child items using one purchase requisition. Child items can include catalog and non-catalog services or goods. For example, you can create a non-catalog request for laptop repair service (parent service) and then add software maintenance service (child item) and computer cleaning kit (child item). Service hierarchies help to define how services are structured and delivered, improving efficiency when ordering services.
Note: This feature is planned to be available with a later release.
2511
AI Copilot Joule in Guided Buying [GUIDEB-1163]
Joule, SAP's generative AI copilot, is now available in guided buying. Joule uses a conversational interface to help users complete tasks efficiently. It leverages generative and other AI technologies to understand natural language requests, identify intent, perform actions, and provide insights.
Note: Please note that AI copilot Joule in Guided Buying will be in Early Access until September 19th, 2025 at which time it will be made generally available to customers.

Enhancements to WalkMe in Guided Buying [GUIDEB-1266]

Note: WalkMe content is currently available in only English.

This feature enables you to manage assets in guided buying using the asset management component from your SAP ERP system. Asset management allows you to manage your organization's assets throughout their lifecycle.

Enhanced Supplier Search for Non-Catalog Items [GUIDEB-304]
This feature enables users to view the most relevant suppliers when they create a non-catalog request or line-item form. When this feature is enabled, the recommended suppliers that display are mapped to the commodity code of the item on a request form. This is helpful is you want users to only choose from existing suppliers that have catalog items with the same commodity code as the item on your request.
2505
RFQs support on-behalf-of by company code [GUIDEB-1056]
Requests for quote (RFQs) in guided buying now support on-behalf-of by company code functionality.

Support for Classification of Hazardous Materials [GUIDEB-1082]
With this feature, you can identify which types hazardous materials are present in items according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. Previously, you could only find whether or not items contained hazardous materials, but you couldn't find which type of hazardous materials were present. Now, items with hazardous materials display the different symbols and codes for the types of hazardous materials present.
2505
Support for Ad Hoc Vendors on Non-Catalog Requests [GUIDEB-1209]
With this feature, users can submit non-catalog requests using ad hoc vendors in guided buying. Ad hoc vendors are suppliers added to your SAP Ariba Buying solution on an as-needed basis, without needing to complete the onboarding process in SAP Ariba Supplier Management. When users create a non-catalog request in guided buying, they can choose from the ad hoc vendors available.
