FAQ for Suppliers – Domain Name Standardization

The domain name standardization is applicable to SUPPLIERS using the SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network (formerly CIG) to exchange in/out transactions with SAP Business Network.

To review the details of the change, please review the customer notice.

Q: What is changing?
The address in Test and Production of the URL you are using today when sending transactions to SAP Business Network (Outgoing transactions from your side).

Q: Which environments are impacted?
Test and Production.

Q: When is the decommission date?
31st January 2026. Due to other technical constraints and dependencies, no extension will be granted.

Q: What is the impact after the decommission date?
After the cut-over date, if you are still using the decommissioned URL addresses, the transactions you will be sending to the network will not reach your intended target.

Q: What is the recommendation?
As per case, please:

  • Review your internal tools/applications or contact your service provider you are currently using to send/post transactions to the network
  • Check the section where you store the current URL
  • Use the list of URL provided in the notification to check the correspondence between the current URL and the one new one
  • Replace the current URL with the new one in your internal tool /application or via your service provider
  • Validate the change and regression test to ensure business continuity.

Note: the change of the address needs to be done in your internal tools/applications or via your service provider. The current configurations in your SUPPLIER Managed Gateway for Spend & Network will remain the same.

Disclaimer: Please note that SAP cannot estimate all the activities needed within your internal organization. Please consider the information as a suggestion and not an exhaustive list of activities.

Q: During the period of change (October 2024 - Jan 2026), will we be able to post documents to both old and new SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network URLs?
Yes, it will be possible to post in both environments using different URLs.  For instance:

TEST (New URL)
PROD (Old URL)

Q: Will something be changing on the receiving side of the transmission?
No change.

Q: Will there be a change on the IPs range? Or any impact on the infrastructure changes that might affect integrations, e.g. TLS & Cipher suite support changes?
No change, the regular update process will remain as it is.
