Q:What changes are coming to the SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway add-on service pack cadence?
A:Starting with the SAP Ariba 2205 Release, features for SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway add-on will be released twice a year.

Q:Why are we changing the add-on SP release cadence?
A:To provide customers with more effective time to adopt and use the current release. 

Q:When does this change take effective?
A:Starting with the 2205 release, SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway add-on will be released 2 times a year- with the May & November quarterly releases.

Q:What is the expected impact to customers?
A: Customers can expect improved stability, reduced cost of frequent add-on upgrades while continuing to adopt new innovations of SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway, and a full year of SP supportability.

Q: What is the SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway add-on? 
A: Each SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway release includes an installable add-on component for SAP S/4HANA & SAP ERP systems.  Currently, SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway releases occur four times a year with our standard release cycle of February, May, August, and November. 

Q: Will there be changes to the support policy now that the add-on is being release twice a year?
A: SAP Ariba will adhere to our N/N-1 add-on support policy. Since we are adjusting the add-on release to two times a year, the new cadence will provide customers 1 full year of supportability for SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway. 

Q: Will all SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway features be impacted by this change and be released 2 times a year?
A: No, only the add-on component of our releases will be impacted. All other SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway solution components, such as portal (project, mappings, transformations, transaction tracker etc.), API-based integrations that are not dependent on add-on, and integration scenarios supported by API-based integration will not be impacted by this change.  These components will continue to be introduced four times a year with the quarterly release cycle.  

Q: What is the recommendation for customers? 
A: To take advantage of the latest innovation and ensure compliance with support policy, it is recommended that customers stay current by reviewing their add-on at least once a year and deploying the latest Service Pack to their production environments.

Q: Does this change apply to both buy-side and supplier-side add-ons?
A: Yes

Does this change apply to both ECC & S/4HANA add-ons?
A: Yes
