Buyers can add limit items in guided buying requests for goods and lean services that correspond to the item category E in SAP S/4HANA Cloud or SAP S/4HANA. For SAP S/4HANA Cloud, this feature enables the capability to add limit items in guided buying requests for the Guided Buying for Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Buying (3EN) integration scenario. For SAP S/4HANA, this feature enables the capability to add limit items in guided buying requests for the Guided Buying Capability with SAP Ariba Buying (2NV) integration scenario and the Guided Buying for Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Buying (3EN) integration scenario.
The customer does not have the capability to add limit items in guided buying requests in 3EN cloud and 2NV/3EN OP version.
This feature gives the customer the capability to add limit items in guided buying requests for the Guided Buying for Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Buying (3EN) integration scenario. For SAP S/4HANA, this feature enables the capability to add limit items in guided buying requests for the Guided Buying Capability with SAP Ariba Buying (2NV) integration scenario and the Guided Buying for Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Buying (3EN) integration scenario.

- For both SAP Ariba Buying and SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing, this feature requires the guided buying capability.
- SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud support this feature for the following integration scenarios:

- SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud support this feature for the 3EN scope item. - The following parameters must be set for your site in SAP Ariba Buying or SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing. SAP Ariba sets these parameters for you. Have your designated support contact file a Case (SR) to set the parameters.
- Application.Procure.EnableServiceItemFieldInRequisition must be enabled.
- Application.Procure.EnableItemCategoryOnRequisitionLine must be enabled.
- Application.ClassificationCodes.SystemCommodityCodeDomainName must be set to the domain for the commodity codes.
- Your administrator must enable the following parameters:
- Enable the Add limit items in guided buying requests sent to SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Application.Purchasing.S4Hana.AddLimitItemsInGBRequests) parameter in SAP Ariba Buying or SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing. For information about the parameter, see Add limit items in guided buying requests sent to SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
- Enable the following parameters in guided buying. For information on enabling these parameters, see How to update guided buying parameters.
- PARAM_ENABLE_ENHANCED_LIMIT_FOR_S4HANA
- If you plan to add limit items for lean services in the requests, ENABLE_LEAN_SERVICE must be enabled in guided buying.
- Your administrator must configure the commodity code mapping policy. For more information, see How to configure your commodity code mapping policy.
Split accounting is not supported for limit items in guided buying requests sent to SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
