Feature Description

This feature adds support for custom fields in QuoteMessage documents sent from SAP Ariba Sourcing to SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud in the Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Sourcing (4QN) and Sourcing with SAP Ariba Sourcing (4BL) integration scenarios.

Customer Problem

Custom fields are currently supported in the inbound flow to Ariba from S/4HANA RFQ but are not supported in the outbound flow from SAP Ariba to S/4HANA. This prevents the end-to-end flow in the 4BL and 4QN processes.

Customer Value Proposition

Customers can now use custom fields in the end-to-end flow of 4BL and 4QN processes, including the outbound flow which is being sent to the S/4HANA system after the awarding process from SAP Ariba.

This feature has the following prerequisites:

This feature is supported in the classic SAP Ariba Sourcing user interface and the guided sourcing user interface. To use this feature in the guided sourcing user interface, your site must have guided sourcing enabled and you must be a member of the Category Buyer group.
The Enable guided sourcing integration in 4BL and 4QN integration scenarios for SAP S/4HANA Cloud parameter must be enabled in the Intelligent Configuration Manager.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud supports this feature for the following integration scenarios:
- 4QN solution scope item for operational procurement (Sourcing with SAP Ariba Sourcing (4QN) via SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network). For information about the configuration steps to activate 4QN integration, refer the Setting Up Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Sourcing (4QN) guide.Information published on SAP site

Custom fields included in the QuoteRequestHeader must be available in SAP Ariba Sourcing, otherwise they won't be mapped.
Custom fields created in SAP Ariba Sourcing must be configured as ERP Integration Fields.
Custom field names in the QuoteRequestHeader and in SAP Ariba Sourcing should match.
You must be a member of one of the following groups:
- Category Manager
- Commodity Manager
- Customer Administrator (access to this group must be approved by SAP Ariba)
- Event Administrator (access to this group must be approved by the SAP Ariba Market Coordination Team)
- Junior Procurement Agent
- Junior Sourcing Agent
- Limited Event Administrator (access to this group must be approved by the SAP Ariba Market Coordination Team)
- Procurement Agent
