Feature Description

This feature introduces a security measure that ensures that users are automatically signed out of the SAP Ariba Procurement mobile app after 30 days. Additionally, customer administrators can specify the number of days (minimum=1, maximum=30) after which users are to be automatically signed out of the mobile app by configuring the force sign out mobile app users after a specified number of days (Application.Mobile.ForceSignOutUsersInDays) self-service parameter.

Customer Problem

Once a user is signed in, they can remain signed in indefinitely if they actively use the app. This is not desirable from security point of view and also causes caching of search data and attachments.

Customer Value Proposition

This is an added security measure. The app cache is also cleared upon sign out.

Prerequisites

You must be a member of the Customer Administrator group to configure the Force sign out mobile app users after a specified number of days (Application.Mobile.ForceSignOutUsersInDays) parameter in the Intelligent Configuration Manager workspace.

Restrictions

The default value of this parameter is 30 (minimum=1, maximum=30). Any value entered that is less than 1 or greater than 30 will be ignored and the default value of 30 takes effect.
When this feature is rolled out, you will be automatically signed out of the SAP Ariba Procurement mobile app every 30 days from the last time you logged in to the device (unless the default has been customized by your admin). Using the PIN or biometric does not count as a sign-in.
To use the app, you will have to sign in again either by using your user credentials or by using an activation code if your site is configured to do so.

NOTE: This feature is device dependent. If you are logged into multiple devices, only the devices that have met the preset value in the parameter will be logged out.
