Feature Description

This feature adds the ability to create material quote events from the Product Sourcing interface and then move to guided sourcing. It also adds material 360° links to materials that you add to your guided sourcing project.

Customer Problem

Customers are unable to take advantage of guided sourcing when attempting to do material quotes from the direct materials dashboard. This creates an inconsistent user experience.

Customer Value Proposition

With the release of this feature, buyers are now able to trigger the material quoting process from the direct materials dashboard and then move to guided sourcing. This provides the buyer with a consistent user experience across both their indirect and direct sourcing needs.

Prerequisites

This feature has the following prerequisites:

Guided sourcing must be enabled in your site.
You must be a member of the Category Buyer group.
You must be a member of the Materials Manager or Materials Viewer group to see material information.
The Product Sourcing parameter TOGGLE.ENABLE_MATERIALQUOTE_REDIRECT_TO_MINERVA should be enabled.
You must be the event owner or have project owner capabilities for the event to add material master items.
For an RFP template to be available in guided sourcing, you must set the Guided Sourcing Template template property to Yes.
Your site must be integrated with an external system for master data, as described in Common data import and administration guide for SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management solutions.
To use the Add items from material master search page, the Application.AQS.RFX.EnableUnifiedMaterialMasterSearch parameter must be set to Yes.

Restrictions

This feature supports only RFP type events.

If you create a material quote event from the product sourcing interface and redirect it to guided sourcing, you can't edit the External system event setting.

This feature only supports material quotes.
