This feature clarifies for users the current state of an engagement while the system is processing updates related to task management or submission of a new or edited request. The system provides visual cues while updates are in progress and when they are complete.
The time required to process changes and synchronize resulting tasks and statuses within engagement risk projects can take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. The end user is not aware of the time-lag, and often attempts to take further action on the engagement while background processing is still underway, causing multiple negative end user impacts, including the need for support requests and workspace data corruption.
Engagement users will now see a new status indicating that workspace changes are being processed in the background. Users cannot take further action on the workspaces until processing completes successfully to avoid inconsistencies in data or status. If background processing fails, the engagement is reverted to the last state before the user took the final action, and is available for retry.

Your site must be configured for use of control-based engagement risk assessment projects.
Your user must have access to the engagement.
NOTE: This feature relies on several self-service site configuration parameters. All three are enabled by default.
In order to disable an element of the feature, a member of the Customer Administrator group in your organization must disable the appropriate parameter:
Parameter: Manage user interactions during send assessments processing (Application.SR.Engagement.SendAssessmentsProcessingBehavior)
Description: Enables the changes to the user interface and behavior related to the Send Assessments task.
Parameter: Manage user interactions during update processing (Application.SR.Engagement.UpdateProcessingBehavior)
Description: Enables the changes to the user interface and behavior related to other actions such as submitting a new or edited engagement request.
Visible to End User
Parameter: Enable asynchronous processing of business details and the inherent risk screening questionnaire (Application.SR.Engagement.EnableAsyncDocProcessing)
Description: Allows the engagement's business details and inherent risk screening questionnaire to be processed asynchronously.
This parameter is relevant when the Manage user interactions during update processing parameter is enabled.
