In classic sourcing we can create ad-hoc events (events created on the Documents tab by clicking Actions > Create > Event) using any available quick project template in the site.
However, in Guided Sourcing we have a new behavior which allows admin users to choose which templates can be used to create ad-hoc events. This is similar to what we have with a document choice.
To reuse Quick Project templates, you need to create a Document Choice and setup its condition as Prototype > Ad Hoc Creation
To set up the available templates that can be used for ad-hoc events:
Now you just need to publish the changes and this event template will be available to use for ad-hoc events at the project level.
If you will create only one event inside your full projects and don't want to recreate all existing event templates, you can use a document choice instead.
If you don't add the Ad Hoc Creation condition to any event template, you will face the following error message when trying to create an ad-hoc event at the project level: No templates found.
Currently there is no way to copy content/rules from existing event templates to the ones you need to create inside your full project template.
