Feature Description

This feature introduces support for supplier data integration between SAP Ariba applications and SAP S/4HANA Cloud using SAP Master Data Integration (MDI).

Customer Problem

Customers using the SAP Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES) for Source to Pay (S2P) processes today have to load supplier data manually using csv files (manual export from S/4 HANA Cloud and import into SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance).

Customer Value Proposition

This feature enables the automated replication of Business Partner/supplier data from S/4 HANA Cloud via SAP Master Data Integration (MDI) to SAP Ariba applications.

Prerequisites

For SAP Ariba Supplier Information and Performance Management, this feature requires the "new architecture."

This feature has the following prerequisites:

SAP S/4HANA Cloud using SAP Master Data Integration, single instance only.

Required features Data replication must use key mapping.
Configuration

SAP MDI must be configured for business partner integration and business partner integration between SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP MDI must be configured as described in the PDF guide in SAP Note 3087667Information published on SAP site.

SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway Configuration SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway must be configured for integration with MDI.
SAP Ariba applications Deployment New deployment with no supplier data (including partitioned supplier data) loaded.
Configuration If your SAP Ariba site uses a multi-ERP configuration, it can only have one child site, and must fully synchronize supplier data between parent and child sites.
Required features If you use the guided buying capability, support for partitioned suppliers (SM-30017) must also be enabled and configured in your site.

 

Caution: enabling this feature when you do not meet these prerequisites can cause serious inconsistencies or disruptions with supplier data, which might be irreversible.

To enable SAP MDI integration and set integration-related configuration parameters in SM Administration, you must be a member of the SM Ops Administrator group. To configure integration settings in SM Administration, you must be a member of the SM ERP Administrator group.
