Integrations- und Ausnahme-Monitoring mit SAP Cloud ALM
Funktions-ID

PLMSG-3631

Feature Description

With this feature, SAP Ariba solutions, integrated with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, support integration and exception monitoring using the SAP Cloud ALM for Operations (SAP CALM) cloud operation platform. The integration and exception monitoring makes use of the new Integration Event Monitoring Query API for Procurement. This REST API enables SAP CALM to monitor integration message flows between SAP Ariba solutions and SAP S/4HANA Cloud or between SAP Business Network and SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Customer Problem

Challenges that customers typically face in their integrated SAP cloud landscape for enabling their business process flows:
a) Transformation from a monolithic to a multi-service landscape
b) Increased complexity to find and analyze issues in a distributed environment
c) Increased needs to consider business processes end-to-end

Hence the need arises for a central operations platform for the customers' cloud-centric landscapes. This operations platform should be capable of supporting the customers' key personas in their day-to-day operations. For example, as an integration owner, I would like to have an alert capability to help me answer my basic queries:
a) Are there integration scenario related issues in any of the implemented business scenarios?
b) Is the root cause of the problem already known?
c) How can I fix the root cause to my problem?

As an integration owner or business process user, I would also like to have monitoring, tracking, and analytics capability to help me answer my basic queries:
a) What is the status of my integration scenario?
b) How can I improve my integration scenario?
c) What is the status of my business process/ message?

Customer Value Proposition

SAP Cloud ALM ensures that customers have business continuity in their SAP landscape via monitoring and alerting resulting in:
a) Increased operations efficiency by automating the operational tasks
b) Avoiding of anomalies by proactive problem prediction

SAP Cloud ALM empowers customers to understand the health of their deployed SAP business solutions:
a) Provides full stack monitoring and alerting covering business processes, integration, users, applications, and healthiness of cloud services and systems
b) Acts as collaboration platform between Line of Business and IT
c) Allows to conduct root cause analysis on technical as well as on the business process level

SAP Cloud ALM helps to predict anomalies in business processes and application operation by event correlation and learning out of the collected data (AIOps). SAP Cloud ALM also provides transparency regarding availability of business services including business downtimes, business events and business SLAs.
