Feature Description

This feature introduces support for master data integration between SAP Ariba applications and SAP S/4HANA Cloud using SAP Master Data Integration (MDI). In this release, support is available for the Cost Center (CostCenter v1.0.2) master data object.

Customer Problem

Customers have to load the same master data multiple times to different SAP Applications - SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Ariba Buyer, and Ariba Network.

Customer Value Proposition

Customers will have a single interface to load master data to all SAP applications. SAP Master Data Integration (MDI) provides the functionality of loading once to be available on all SAP applications. In this feature we are replicating Cost Center master data from SAP Master Data Integration to SAP Ariba by using SAP Master Data Integration log API.

Prerequisites

This feature has the following prerequisites:

SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition version 2108 or higher, using SAP Master Data Integration, single instance only.
The customer must have an SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) global account.
SAP Master Data Integration is integrated with SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
The customer's tenant (SAP Ariba application realm) is configured on SAP Master Data Integration.
- A sub account is created for the tenant in the SAP BTP Cockpit and a space is created.
- An MDI instance is created and destinations for SAP S/4HANA Cloud integration with the MDI instance is created.
- A subscription to Master Data Integration (Orchestration) is created for the sub account.
- The distribution model is configured in the Manage Distribution Model app of SAP Master Data Orchestration, to authorize access to each master data object that the customer requires. The distributions must be activated for the MDI instance to subscribe to the MDI master data objects.

Restrictions

Creation of the Company Code master data object is not supported as part of the support for the Cost Center master data object in this release. Customers must continue to import Company Code using SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway.
