This feature adds support for upgrading existing engagement projects to the latest version of the Supplier Risk Engagement Template so they can include your organization's most recent risk processes.
Risk admin users can manage templates for engagement requests and make modifications to the documents, tasks etc. in accordance with the policy changes in the organization. However, these changes cannot be trickled down to existing engagement requests. This means certain ongoing engagements do not reflect the most up to date policies and do not have complete additional/new due diligence that the organization deems necessary at that point in time. Moreover, engagement owners cannot be sure that their ongoing engagement complies with the latest requirements and that the due diligence is complete.
This feature enables ongoing engagement requests to be upgraded to the latest engagement request template and allows admin users to filter and select the projects for upgrade. This feature also manages the flow of changes in templates to the ongoing engagement requests through a formal upgrade process and provides a configurable notification and reminder mechanism to inform engagement request owners of available upgrades. This feature also allows reporting on projects' upgrade status to track deadlines.

Control-based engagement risk assessment projects must be enabled in your site.
To enable template upgrade, a member of the Customer Administrator group in your organization must enable the self-service site configuration parameter:
- Enable template upgrade (Application.SR.Engagement.EnableTemplateUpgrade)
The following must also be enabled:
- Enable advanced engagement editing and canceling (Application.SR.Engagement.AllowAdvancedEditCancel )
- Allow change requests (Application.SR.Engagement.AllowChangeRequest)
If you enable this feature, it’s recommended that you also enable:
- Enable asynchronous processing for template upgrade (Application.SR.Engagement.EnableAsyncTemplateUpgrade)
- Enable editing of in-progress change requests (Application.SR.Engagement.AllowChangeRequestEdit)
- Enable action queue (Application.SR.Engagement.EnableActionQueue)

To make engagement projects available for template upgrade, you must be a member of the Supplier Risk Manager group.
To upgrade an engagement project to the latest template, you must be one of the following:
- The project owner
- A member of the Supplier Risk Engagement Governance Analyst user group
- A member of the Supplier Risk Engagement Requestor user group and a member of the Project Owner project group
- A member of the Supplier Risk Engagement Expert user group and a member of the Project Owner project group
Engagement projects with status In progress or Completed can be selected for template upgrade. Engagement projects that are going through edit (before completion), or change request (including change request edit), or any other status other than In progress or Completed can’t be selected for template upgrade. It’s required that the ongoing activities be canceled or completed for these engagement projects to be in the list of projects available for upgrade.
Editing of tasks and phases isn’t supported.
