How RFQDummyVendor is used in Sourcing / RFQ Integration and how to remove RFQ Dummy Vendor in Sourcing Request ?
- The Concept of Dummy Supplier in RFQ was there since Cloud Integration (SAP Business Network adapter for SAP PI) Ariba Sourcing Integration was introduced and this is how the Integration is designed for SAP ECC - Ariba Sourcing Integration and this RFQ Dummy Vendor is applicable for both CI (/ARBA) & Managed Gateway for Spend&Network (ARBCIG) Solutions.
- Managed Gateway for Spend&Network Cross References for Dummy Vendor is used for AN side Validation only as Vendor is a Key Information in SAP Business Network.
- Customers will be able to select the Suppliers themselves from Ariba Sourcing side during Awarding Process and at that time Dummy Vendor can be removed.
- Dummy Vendor will not be seen in Ariba Sourcing and even if it is coming Customers can remove it while editing the Sourcing Event and it will not have any impact on Follow-On Documents like Sourcing Project Creation or RFQ Awarding Process - QuoteMessageOrder or QuoteMessageContract Messages.
- The below Features need to be checked in SAP Business Network and Sourcing Side:
- Feature name in Sourcing (realm level toggle):
- id = "CF-6889", name = "Send Vendor Key details matching the Business System Id while sending Quote Message to SAP Business Network"
- Feature name in AN (realm level toggle):
- id = "CF-6890", name = "[AN] Vendor Keys migrated from Sourcing require additional actions from the supplier to properly work"
- The above Features go hand in hand and usually if one is enabled the other one should be enabled as well.
Please refer to the Ariba Knowledge Base Articles - CF-6889: Business System ID vendor details & Error: "One or more of the awarded suppliers do not have a valid vendor key associated with them. Please update the Vendor Keys at the Organization profile." for more details.
