We want to know what data types are available for custom field requests in Strategic Procurement.

The below list is organized by the data types shown in Intelligent Configuration Manager (ICM), then how each can be configured as fields within the User Interface (UI).

For example, the BigDecimal type can function as a Decimal Number field or a Percentage field.

• BigDecimal
  • Decimal Number
    Accepts integers (whole numbers) or decimal numbers (fractions), such as 2 or 0.008.
  • Percentage
    Accepts integers (whole numbers) or decimal numbers (fractions) that are treated as percentages when used in calculations. For example, if users enter 25, the system uses 0.25 in calculations that use that value. Note, values can be greater that 100.

  • Boolean (Yes/No Radio Buttons)
    Displays Yes and No radio buttons. By default, the initial setting contains null (no option selected). This field can be preset to a specific choice.
  • Boolean (Check Box)
    Displays a Check Box. By default, the initial setting contains null (not selected).
    
    
• CommodityCode
  • Commodity (Single Select)
    Allows you to make one selection from the list of commodities that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Line Items.
    
    
• List of CommodityCode
  • Commodity (Multiple Select)
    Allows you to make one or more selections from the list of commodities that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Headers.
    
    
• Date
  • Date
    Accepts a date. The date can be typed into the field or selected from a calendar. The date and time will be displayed to the user in their time zone. For information on available formats, refer to Customization: What formats are available for custom date fields?. Note, most customers require Date (Calendar) instead. See below for more information.
  • Date (Calendar)
    Accepts a date. The date can be typed into the field or selected from a calendar. The date and time will be displayed the same for all users, regardless of their time zone (time zone information is not stored). Reports always use Date (Calendar) as the data type for all custom date fields, so creating a field with a Date (Calendar) type ensures that dates appear correctly in reports. For information on available formats, refer to the same Knowledge Based Article (KBA) above.
    
    
• Department
  • Department (Single Select)
    Allows you to make one selection from the list of departments that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Line Items.
    
    
• List of Department
  • Department (Multiple Select)
    Allows you to make one or more selections from the list of departments that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Headers.
    
    
• DynamicFlexMasterData
  • Flex Master Data (Single Select)
    Allows you to make one selection from the list of custom, Flex Master Data (FMD) that you define.
    
    FMD is typically more complex than most data. For example, you could use a field that points to an enumeration to store the names of hospitals. However, you can use FMD to store the names of hospitals and attributes, such as their addresses and phone numbers, the availability of specialized departments or equipment, and the name of the hospital administrator. After users make a hospital selection from the menu, they can select it to view the attribute data. You refer to each FMD template through a name, such as "Hospital." For more details, refer to Flex Master Data Information.
    
    
• List of DynamicFlexMasterData
  • Flex Master Data (Multiple Select)
    Allows you to make one or more selections from the list of custom, FMD that you define. For more FMD information, see above.
    
    
• int
  • Integer
    Accepts an integer (whole number), such as 2 or 34567. Integers are limited to the range -2147483648 to 2147483647 (signed 32-bit integers).
  • Integer (Single Select)
    Displays an enumeration where only one value can be selected. The Value column must be set to an integer value.
    
    
• Money
  • Money
    Accepts a decimal number that the system then treats as a currency value in calculations and conversions.
    
    
• Organization
  • Supplier (Single Select)
    Allows you to make one selection from the list of suppliers that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Line Items.
    
    
• List of Organization
  • Supplier (Multiple Select)
    Allows you to make one or more selections from the list of suppliers that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Headers.
    
    
• Product
  • Product (Single Select)
    Allows you to make one selection from the list of products that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Line Items.
    
    
• List of Product
  • Product (Multiple Select)
    Allows you to make one or more selections from the list of products that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Headers.
    
    
• Region
  • Region (Single Select)
    Allows you to make one selection from the list of regions that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Line Items.
    
    
• List of Region
  • Region (Multiple Select)
    Allows you to make one or more selections from the list of regions that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Headers.
    
    
• ShortMultiLocaleString
  • Long Rich Text
    Accepts formatted text of unlimited length. This field displays a text box and uses a rich-text editor. For example, users can format text to use bold, italics, color, bullets, and other light formatting. If text overflows the text box, scrollbars appear to allow easier editing. The data from this field is not available in reports. This type is only available within dForm Headers and dForm Line Items.
    
    
• String
  • Free Text (Single Line)
    Accepts one line of free text up to 1,000 characters in length.
  • Free Text (Multiple Lines)
    Accepts multiple lines of free text, up to 1,000 characters in length.
  • Text (Single Select)
    Displays an enumeration where only one value can be selected. The Value column cannot exceed 1,000 characters.
  • URL Link
    Accepts a URL address and displays a text hyperlink. The text displayed is the URL. (Defaults to 100 characters in length, can be changed to a max of 1000 characters in length)
    
    
• List of String
  • Text (Multiple Select)
    Displays an enumeration where one or more values can be selected. In most cases, the Value column cannot exceed 100 characters.
    
    
• User
  • User (Single Select)
    Allows you to make one selection from the list of users that are loaded into your site. This type is only available within dForm Line Items.
    
    
• List of User
  • User (Multiple Select)
    Allows you to make one or more selections from the list of users that are loaded into your site.
