As part of the scope item Automation of Central Procurement Quotes with Ariba Network (5JT), this feature introduces a new extrinsic element in the existing Quote Request and Quote Message cXMLs to differentiate between Central RFQ (cRFQ) coming from SAP S/4HANA Cloud Central Procurement Hub versus local RFQ objects from Quote Automation, so that SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway can route them accordingly.

The SAP S/4HANA Central Procurement offers a centralized RFQ process with a deep integration into the customer's SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA system (on-premise or Cloud) however this cRFQ is not integrated with Ariba Discovery for Suppliers to be able to submit bids.

With the SAP S/4HANA Central Procurement, you can pool or aggregate purchase requisitions created in multiple connected backend systems to create a single central RFQ and thus get support for better scale pricing integrataing with Ariba Discovery for suppliers to be able to submit quotes.
