With this feature, suppliers can create confirmations for enhanced-limit service and material line items in a purchase order. Suppliers can edit the service start and end dates, and update the expected value.

Order confirmation for lean services and materials in Ariba Network doesn’t currently support the concept of enhanced limits, which comprises the expected limit and overall limit. The expected limit is monetary value that the *unplanned* services (or the material) covered by the item are not expected to exceed. It is a figure buyer assumes to be the final amount payable. The overall limit in turn holds the maximum value that the total of all *unplanned* services (or the value of the material) covered by the item may not exceed.

With confirmation for enhanced limits, customers are able to know whether a supplier received the order and if they agree with the expected value, and start-end date of the service sent in the PO or if they need to adjust them.
