How do I review catalog validation errors for guided buying landing page (gbdata) subscriptions?

Answer

An administrator must take the following steps to review the errors:

  1. In SAP Ariba Buying, go to Manage > Core Administration > Catalog Manager > Catalogs.
  2. Locate the subscription with validation errors, searching by Validating status and either by gbdata or by the purchasing unit ID tied to the subscription.
  3. Click the link for the version number that has errors.
  4. In the Summary section, click the number link in the Count column for the severity Error.
  5. In the Summarized View section, review the errors:
    • Using the Error Display dropdown, toggle between the Summarized and Detailed views.
    • Use the links in the Occurrences or Line columns to fix the error manually in the user interface.
    • For other errors, additional action is required either in the guided buying landing page configuration or in the SAP Ariba Buying master data configuration to resolve the root cause of the errors before the landing page tiles can be indexed for search successfully.
Additional Information

If a gbdata subscription fails due to validation errors, it is not synced to Arches and members of the Customer Catalog Manager group receive a Catalog Import Failed email notification.
