This feature gives buyers and suppliers the ability to define price validity end dates during sourcing events initiated from product sourcing.

This feature enables buyers to allow suppliers to create alternative bids based on varying pricing conditions. Buyer users can enable pricing conditions-based alternative bids from the classic SAP Ariba Sourcing user interface and the guided sourcing user interface by setting the bidding rule "Can edit pricing condition terms in alternatives" to Yes at the template level or the event level.

  Support for enhanced lookup tables as part of cost breakdowns including complex formula support in guided sourcing [DMS-15569]
This feature enables buyers using guided sourcing to specify lookup table formulas while creating guided sourcing events. This feature also extends lookup table formula support to cost breakdown terms.

Fields were added to the Create Question and Create Characteristic pages in the category attribute hierarchy administration area to better align with the question and characteristic creation fields in SAP Ariba Sourcing and guided sourcing.

For SAP Ariba Sourcing users, this feature introduces a new user interface for adding items from article master to sourcing events. For guided sourcing users, this feature allows users to add items from article master to sourcing events.

  Enhanced support for dynamic lookup tables [DMS-14700]
This feature extends lookup table support to guided sourcing events and enhances the support for lookup tables to enable dynamic look up based on lookup table versions and one-to-many mapping between an input column and terms. This feature also introduces a new administrator interface (Administration > Product Sourcing > Lookup Table) for uploading, downloading, and searching for lookup tables. You can upload multiple versions of a lookup table to the central location and versions of the lookup table are maintained to ensure that the correct version, based on the creation date of the sourcing event, is referenced when using lookups in sourcing events. Additional options are provided in the template configuration to create lookup table mappings.

  Ability to copy cost group information across line items [DMS-14701]
This feature enables users to copy the entered cost group information across line items from the Cost breakdown page. Users can copy cost group information such as the added cost components and cost element values from one line item to other line items of an event.

  Ability to capture detailed cost breakdown in guided sourcing [DMS-14717]
This feature enables buyers to capture cost breakdown information in guided sourcing by using the cost group functionality. Buyers can create guided sourcing events with the cost group terms defined in the sourcing event template. This feature also allows:
- buyers to access the Cost breakdown page to modify or set the initial value for cost groups
- suppliers to access the Cost breakdown page to add cost components for cost groups
- buyers to monitor and analyze the supplier bids for cost groups using the Cost breakdown page

This feature enables buyers to integrate the sourcing process between guided sourcing with the Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Sourcing (4QN) and Sourcing with SAP Ariba Sourcing (4BL) integration scenarios.

This feature enables buyers to include attachments and notes with RFQ data in the Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Sourcing (4QN) integration scenario.

  Support for custom content and other enhancements in the SAP Enable Now Web Assistant for guided sourcing [SS-22691]
This feature introduces the following enhancements to the SAP Enable Now Web assistant for buyers using guided sourcing:
- Ability to add custom help content to the Web Assistant
- Ability to customize the layout and presentation of the standard help content provided
- Ability to access the recommended learning through the Learning App

You can configure the Web Assistant using the SAP Enable Now Manager and update the self-service parameter Set template for SAP Enable Now Web Assistant to specify the link to the configuration template. The Javascript-based configuration template contains the Web Assistant configuration parameters such as serviceLayerVersion and resourceURL. The template also contains parameters that help you configure the look and feel of the Web Assistant.

This feature extends SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway support to the RFQ and supplier quotation confirmation messages in the Central Procurement with SAP Ariba Sourcing (4QN) integration scenario.

  Ability to create price acceptance scenarios from auction events [DMS-14926]
This feature enables buyers using the product sourcing features of SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite to create price acceptance scenarios from reverse and forward auction events. The price acceptance scenario enables you to choose items for which you want to create purchasing info records (PIRs) from SAP Ariba Sourcing that is integrated with external systems such as SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA.

  Support for supplier currency in follow-on documents such as PIRs and contracts [DMS-14940]
SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite supports the use of supplier currency in contract workspaces and in the integration of follow-on documents such as purchase info records (PIRs), purchase orders, and outline agreements with external systems. Buyers can use the self-service parameter Application.ACM.UseSupplierBidCurrencyForContractsAndIntegration.Enabled to specify whether supplier currency can be used for cost information in contract workspaces and follow-on documents such as PIRs, purchase orders, and outline agreements. By default, this parameter is set to Yes. When this parameter is set to No, contract workspaces and follow-on documents are created in the event currency.

  Support for custom content in SAP Enable Now web assistant for product sourcing [DMS-15229]
This feature enables buyers to add help content to the product sourcing user interface by using the custom content capability of SAP Enable Now Web assistant. To be able to add custom help content, you must have a valid license for SAP Enable Now and should have enabled the self-service parameter Application.AQS.EnableWebAssistantForGuidedSourcing for your site. You must also configure the self-service parameter Application.AQS.WebAssistantJSTemplate with the link to the JavaScript-based configuration template for the web assistant.

  Drag-and-drop message attachment into a guided sourcing event [SS-19957]
This feature allows buyers to drag-and-drop an attachment from a message into a guided sourcing event. Buyers save time because they no longer have to download the attachment and then upload it to the event. Buyers can move attachments from messages into line item terms, questions, and requirements. The attachments become reference documents in the event.

This feature provides a new and more efficient product questionnaire user experience for buyers and suppliers. Buyers can now also use this feature in guided sourcing events.

This feature allows you to create a library of requirements in the category attribute hierarchy, which can be configured so that they are added to sourcing events automatically when specific conditions are met.

This feature allows category attribute hierarchy administrators to upload documents independently of objects such as questions, product questionnaires, or characteristics, and to manage document versions from a single location.

Multi-factor authentication is a two-step verification process where users are required to authenticate themselves a second time using a time-based verification code. As compared to the single step authentication process, the multi-factor authentication process provides enhanced security.

This feature enables buyers to integrate Sourcing process between SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Ariba through Central Procurement using SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway.

This feature enables buyers to use cost elements of a cost group in the line-item formula of a sourcing event. Buyers can configure cost elements as rollup terms and use the rollup value of the cost elements in the line-item formula.

  Support for attachments to transaction documents in the 4BL integration scenario [DMS-12927]
This feature introduces the ability to send attachments with transaction documents (RFQs and Supplier Quotations) between SAP Ariba Sourcing and SAP S/4HANA Cloud through SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway.

  Support for engineering change order (ECO) in product sourcing [DMS-13007]
Product sourcing features of SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite support integration of engineering change orders (ECOs) and provide the following capabilities:
- Ability to search for materials and BOMs based on their change numbers.
- Ability to view BOM change details and item change details from the dashboard.
- Ability to view BOM changes associated with a change number.
- Support for ChangeNumber and RevisionLevel in ItemMaster.
- Enhancements to BOM CSV files to:
- Import change master fields.
- Associate change number with BOM and revision level with material.
- Ability to view change number and revision level from the sourcing workflows.
- Ability to collect estimated price and contracted price for the latest revision level of an item.
- Ability to compare prices of an item across revision levels.

A new SOAP web service is added to upload change master data from ERP to product sourcing. The change master contains change number, change valid from date, change reason, and change description.

  Ability to use decimal, quantity, and percentage term types for pricing conditions [DMS-13286]
This feature enables buyers to define pricing conditions for item terms of decimal, quantity, and percentage answer types. Previously, buyers could only define pricing conditions for item terms of money, whole number, and text answer types. The cXML documents sent from SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite to SAP ERP through SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway for creating purchase orders, contracts, and scheduling agreements now support pricing conditions for item terms of decimal, quantity, and percentage answer types. Buyers must implement the necessary mappings to support integration of pricing conditions for item terms of decimal, quantity, and percentage answer types. Purchase info records (PIRs) created in SAP ERP also support pricing conditions for item terms of decimal, quantity, and percentage answer types.

This feature enables buyers to add placeholder parts to a bill of materials. Placeholder parts enable buyers to initiate sourcing activities and collect prices even if the details of a part are not finalized. When the actual parts are available, you can replace the placeholder parts with the actual parts and copy the price information from the placeholder part to the actual part. When you replace placeholder parts with actual parts, you can also initiate creation of purchasing info record for the actual parts. You can search for placeholder parts, and edit and delete placeholder parts.

This feature adds multi-language support for Unit of Measurement (UOM) master data.

  Ability to view pricing conditions of materials from the View item 360 page [DMS-8845]
This feature enables buyers to view pricing conditions of materials from the View item 360 page. The View item 360 page provides a new section, Price By Source, that displays the prices with the specific validity periods and scales for the material. You can choose to view validity periods and scales for a specific plant and a source. The source can be a CSV file or a sourcing event that contains the prices accepted for materials.

  Enhancements to smart imports from Excel [SS-15030]
This feature enables you to create content for an RFP event by importing data from an unstructured Excel file that contains multiple sheets including sheets for items, questions and requirements. This feature introduces the following enhancements, to:
- Support for UOM, historical and reserve pricing
- Improvement to predictions and mapping of content
- Enhanced review and confirmation flows for content mapping
- Options to download sample Excel files for single-sheet import, multi-sheet import, and material master import

  Ability to define order of content in Category Attribute Hierarchy [SSR-1704]
This feature gives buyer administrators the option to control the order in which questions, characteristics, and sections from the category attribute hierarchy are added to sourcing events.

  Audit log for changes to sourcing event questions and contract terms within contract workspaces [SSR-2040]
This feature allows users to see changes that were made to sourcing event questions or contract terms on a contract workspace on the Audit History page for that workspace.

  Product questionnaires in the Bid Comparison Report [SSR-2097]
Product questionnaires enable buyers to collect detailed specifications for items that they are sourcing. With this feature, product questionnaires, including supplier answers to questions, can now be added at item level in the configurable bid comparison report in SAP Ariba Sourcing.
