With this feature, suppliers on Ariba Network can send and receive quality inspection documents through the EDI routing method in the ASCx12 EDI863 document format.

Currently CIG sell-side ANSIx12 mapping does not support collaborate on quality inspection with finished goods (manufacturing) or subcontracting components during the delivery of components.

Allow suppliers and customers to collaborate on quality inspection process.
Allow suppliers to send the inspection result to buyers, so that buyers can make the decisions to accept/reject the goods. Once the inspection results are accepted the suppliers can ship the goods.
