Why are users unable to see the Reopen Order option from the Receive UI?
Question

Individuals with Requester access cannot view the auto-received Purchase Orders (PO) from the Manage -> Receive UI. This prevents them from returning an item that was auto-received by the system. It appears individuals assigned to the Purchasing Manager group are able to view auto-received POs. What could be the cause of this issue?

Answer

The Manage > Receive UI will show end-users POs based on the following conditions:

Since auto-receiving doesn't require any approvals, the end-user will not be able to view the Reopen Order option or even find the PO when going through Manage > Receive.

Receipts are different from other documents in the following ways:

Other users might be able to search for the PO if they have additional permissions, e.g. they're part of the Purchasing Manager group, that's because some of these conditions will not apply to them since they have additional of permissions that allows them to view and search more documents than the average end-user.
