Release Update 193183

Customer-defined logical IDs to identify the permitted consumption of component inventory
Feature ID

CSC-15640

Feature Description

This feature enhances validation capabilities to ensure that only subcontracting components that are assigned to a supplier or vendor by a particular buyer are allowed to be reported for consumption.

Customer Problem

For a given buyer and supplier relationship, the supplier ANID is the only criteria/key provided to uniquely assign between a component in component inventory and a component to be consumed in component consumption. However, customers require that other criteria/keys be available for this assignment capability, such as a vendor ID or a system ID.

Customer Value Proposition

By introducing multiple component assignment criteria, SAP Ariba provides more flexibility and covers more scenarios in component consumption reports.
