About Multiple Delegation and how to enable the feature
About the CP-6383 - Multiple Delegations (StorePersona) feature and how to enable the feature
This feature is disabled by default. For realm enablement a Designated Support Contact (DSC) must log a Case.
The ability to delegate to multiple users is made possible by enabling feature CP-6383 - Multiple Delegations (StorePersona).
- This feature allows for multiple delegations for a user as well as the ability for a delegatee to create orders and perform receiving when acting as that user; Documents created will use the users permissions, default accounting and ship-to information, as well as catalog view.
- This feature allows retail customers to model a Store as a user and delegate to multiple associates and store employees. Store employees then have the ability to "act as" the Store when doing ordering and receiving, and is thus enabled to use the catalog views, default accounting and ship to information of the Store (user) profile.
WARNING:
- WARNING: The feature should not be enabled in suite integrated environments and stand-alone SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solution sites. The feature is not certified on suite integrated realms. Improvement Request for release to suite integrated realms has been closed as not possible to achieve.
- Some symptoms observed by doing: Existing user delegations can be terminated before their established end date and the delegatee will not have an option to see the delegator's profile to act as while logging in.
- The ability to delegate through preferences menu must be disabled by parameter Application.User.DisableDelegateAuthority to avoid unexpected errors.
- Delegatees must ensure they do not work on the same document to avoid errors.
- Recently Viewed tile will not show correct content – please refer to My Documents tile.
See Feature at a Glance for more information on this feature and the Approval flows guide for topics about delegating approval authority.
