When a Request for Quotation (RFQ) is created on ERP and sent to Ariba Network (AN) via Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), the following error is triggered in CIG Transaction Tracker:

Error Code:"406" and Error Code Response:"Invalid Document:Attribute "matchingType" with value "" must have a value from the list "invitationOnly approvedVendorOnly public "

Maintain lookup table according to How to set up fields in the Lookup table for matching types Public, approvedVendorOnly and invitationOnly. This issue may also happen if you use outdated AddOn version, where XSLT standard mapping is not fetching the correct location for the conversion in file received from ERP which would be E1EDK01/BSART.

In case the lookup table configuration is maintained and issue still happens, check if it is maintained for the correct System ID (SID) and if there is any custom routing that could be routing the document to incorrect SID. 

In case transaction is sent from Production ERP to Prod CIG (acig.ariba.com) make sure the respective CIG Project is moved to In Production status. 

MatchingType field is being sent blank to Ariba Network due to missing lookup table values.

Below types should be maintained in Lookup table according to guide:

• Public: Enter AN to specify any public supplier. The supplier must exist Ariba Network.
• approvedVendorOnly: Enter PRI to specify suppliers that exist on Ariba Network.
• invitationOnly: Enter DIR to specify suppliers that are invited to join the RFQ posting.

According to CIG XSLT mapping, AN, PRI or DIR is expected in the IDOC sent to CIG by ERP in the path E1EDK01/BSART, this value is defined by the RFQ type field that is maintained in ERP in transaction ME41 when creating the RFQ.
