While creating an ad hoc item, the Category field shows all commodity codes/classifiers when clicking Browse all but shows no results when using the search box.

1. Sign in to SAP Ariba Buying solutions as an administrator user.
2. In Manage > Core Administration, go to Site Manager > Data Import/Export.
3. On the Export tab, run the Export Commodity Codes task.
4. In the exported commodity code file, set the ParentUniqueName column to All (the top level commodity code) for all first-level commodity codes.
   
   Note: The case sensitivity of the top-level commodity code matters. It must be All, and not ALL or any other variation.
   
   
5. One the Import tab in the Data Import/Export section, run the Import System Commodity Codes task.

Since the December 2019 release, all first-level commodity codes must roll up to All as the top-level parent. This holds true both for UNSPSC and custom commodity code domains.
