Our business requires a simple one-level definition (that is, no parent-child hierarchy) for service items, and we do not require service sheets to allow invoicing of service purchase orders.

How do we enable simple services procurement (SINV-7030)?

If you do not currently use services procurement, have your Designated Support Contact (DSC) file a Case to enable the following parameters, which will allow your users to specify whether requisition line items are service or material items:

• Application.Procure.EnableServiceItemFieldInRequisition
• Application.Procure.EnableItemCategoryOnRequisitionLine, for SAP-variant realms

Then, enable the self-service parameter Application.Procure.EnableSimpleServices.
