When executing the SAP T-code: DRFIMG in SAP ECC, the below error appears for SLP Integration.

Switch MDG_DRF_MAIN_05 is inactive

MDG license is not mandatory but MDG / MDG business functions are mandatory for Ariba SLP Integration. Please refer to the below information taken from SAP Ariba CIG Configuration Guide.

For the outbound integration between SAP ERP and SAP Ariba Supplier Management solutions that use the unified vendor model, you must activate the following business functions:

Note: You do not require MDG license to activate these business functions.

• CA_BP_SOA
• CA_SUPPLIER_SOA
• DRF_FOUNDATION

Note: DRF_FOUNDATION is activated only in SAP_BS_FOUNDATION 748 and later. If you are running a lower version of SAP_BS_FOUNDATION, you can use the transaction code SFW2 to define a custom business function named Z_DRF_FOUNDATION with the following switches:

• MDG_BS_CA_MDGAF_UI_SFWS_06
• MDG_BS_CA_UI_SFWS_06
• MDG_DATALOAD_SFWS_01
• MDG_DRF_MAIN_05
• MDG_DRF_MAIN_UI_05
• MDG_DRF_SFWS_06
• MDG_DRF_SFWS_07
• MDG_DRF_UI_SFWS_06
• MDG_KEY_MAPPING_05
• MDG_KEY_MAPPING_UI_05
• MDG_VALUE_MAPPING_05
• MDG_VALUE_MAPPING_UI_05

Note: MDG_DRF_SFWS_07 is not included in versions lower than SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 and is optional. If you have SAP ERP 6.0 EHP6, the switch is not installed and you can ignore it.

If you have an MDG license and have the CA_BP_SOA, CA_SUPPLIER_SOA, and MDG_FOUNDATION business functions activated, ensure that you also define and activate the DRF_FOUNDATION business function, which contains the following additional switches that MDG_FOUNDATION does not contain:

• MDG_BS_CA_MDGAF_UI_SFWS_06
• MDG_BS_CA_UI_SFWS_06
• MDG_DRF_SFWS_06
• MDG_DRF_SFWS_07
• MDG_DRF_UI_SFWS_06

In addition to that, please implement the SAP Note Error "Switch MDG_DRF_MAIN_05 is inactive" when running DRFIMG.

MDG business functions are not implemented.
