Transactions fail in SAP Integration Suite, Managed Gateway for Spend Management and SAP Business Network Migration Guide with Error "Service Unavailable"
Symptom

Transactional documents sent from SAP Integration Suite, Managed Gateway for Spend Management and SAP Business Network Migration Guide (CIG) fail in Transaction Tracker with either of the below errors :

Error: Service Unavailable

or

Error: Could not Send Message

or

Error: org.apache.cxf.transport.http.HTTPException: HTTP response '503: Service Unavailable' when communicating with http://<Domain Name>:<Port>/sap/bc/srt/<service name>

The service name indicates the service being triggered at runtime in ERP. It varies depending on the interface.
E.g. sap/bc/srt/xip/arba/PurchaseOrderExportRequest/<Client ID>, IDoc?sap-client=<Client ID>

The Domain Name, Port and Client ID are from the Connection page of your Managed Gateway for Spend&Network Project.

Cause

The issue occurs either due to incorrect Cloud Connector configuration or if the secure tunnel is not established between SAP Integration Suite, Managed Gateway for Spend Management and SAP Business Network Migration Guide Subaccount and Cloud Connector.

Resolution
Review the Cloud Connector configuration and subaccounts availability.

As a best practice, keep the SAP Cloud Connector updated to the latest available version . For details on Cloud Connector versions, please refer to KBA Where do I find the installed version of my SAP Cloud Connector?

The secure tunnel between Managed Gateway and your SAP cloud connector can break due to multiple reasons like a Managed Gateway/CPI restart, Managed Gateway outage, Cloud Connector down, network problem, etc. In such a case, the secure tunnel should establish automatically once the application is up, which is expected behavior, but if you are on an older version of cloud connector, you could face problems. The latest version of cloud connector has some fixes related to this. Once the cloud connector is updated, please verify if all the required configurations are in place.
