As a buyer, how do I create a test supplier account?
You can create a test supplier account to complete testing with your test buyer account by following one of the two options below:
1) If Quick Enablement or Light Enablement functionality is enabled for your test buyer account, you can create a test purchase order (PO) with a new vendor ID/private ID and with your e-mail address included. This will create a new private supplier account that you can use for testing. When done in the test environment, this process will only create a test supplier account that will not have an associated production supplier account.
2) If Quick Enablement or Light Enablement functionality is disabled for your test buyer account or if you prefer not to use option 1, you must register a new production supplier account and then enable the test supplier account. This can be done by following the below steps in the Ariba Network:
Once your account is activated and you are signed into the production account, continue with the below steps to activate your test account:
By default, your test supplier account will be created as a Standard Account. If you prefer testing using an Enterprise Account, click Upgrade at top of the test supplier account.
There is no fees associated with using a test supplier account. However, there may be fees associated with the production account if you send transactions using production environment. Therefore, it is important that you use only the test environment for your testing. If you prefer to have the production account expired to prevent the production environment from being used, then please contact SAP Ariba Customer Support to have the account status changed. Expiring the production account will not affect the status of the test account.
