- Supplier Management event emails are not being sent. How can we fix this?
- Emails for Supplier Management questionnaires are not being sent and are not visible in the Event Messages tab in the project's advanced view. Is there a way to fix it?
Remove the invalid token from the message template by following these steps:
- Go to Manage > Templates.
- Find and open the affected template, e.g. Supplier Registration Project Templates > Supplier Registration Template.
- Create a new version of the template by pressing Actions > New Version.
- On the Documents tab Edit the affected questionnaire, e.g. Supplier Registration Questionnaire.
- Go to Summary > Overview > Actions > Customize Messages.
Find the affected template. You can commonly find the template affected by the subject line, or by the template name or content. All of these are displayed by default in this view. In the case of the issue affecting the initial email invite to register (i.e. the first email a vendor would receive), it's the message template named Invitation for participants who have not used Ariba before. Select the message template by:
- Clicking it, and then clicking Customize at the bottom right corner. If the Customize button is greyed out for you, you may have multiple templates selected. You can customize only one template at a time.
- Remove the invalid token from the email.
- Save and exit the questionnaire template.
- Publish the new template version.
The message template may contain an invalid token such as SENDER_ORGANIZATION_NAME.
The sender of Supplier Management questionnaire emails is the Project Owner group. A project group does not have an organization mapped to it and thus this token is trying to pull a non-existent value. This causes the message not to be composed.
As a reference here's the out of the box version of the message template for Invitation for participants who have not used Ariba before:
