Why is the Adjust bidding start time option not available when I want to extend the time of an event?

If you do not see the Adjust bidding start time option on an event's Extend Time or Reduce Time page, check the event's status. This option only appears during Preview, and the system hides it automatically after an event enters Prebid Review.

Prebid Review immediately precedes the bidding phase, so simply extending or reducing the timing for an event in this status also adjusts the bidding start time. This makes the Adjust bidding start time option unnecessary at this point.

The settings for certain rule's in an event's Timing Rules section control the visibility of the Adjust bidding start time option. You will see it on the Extend Time or Reduce Time page when your event meets all the following criteria:

• The event's status is Preview
• You set the following rules to specific values:
  1. The Enable preview period before bidding opens rule to Yes
  2. The Can participants place bids during preview period rule to Allow prebids or Require prebids
