Why is a supplier user visible in Sourcing but not in SLP?
Symptom

Supplier user not visible in SLP but is visible in sourcing

Resolution
Question

Why is a supplier user visible in an event, or in Supplier and Customer Manager, but not in Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP)?

Answer

The vendor push parameters are not enabled, so supplier users created in Sourcing are not automatically being sent to SLP. This includes supplier users created from sourcing events or from Supplier and Customer Manager.

To check the parameters:

  1. From the sourcing dashboard click Manage > Administration.
  2. Customization Manager > Parameters.
  3. Select Advanced mode.
  4. Search for: Application.SM.VendorContactPushTaskEnabled.

If the parameters are set to No, the supplier contact must be manually migrated from Sourcing by a member of the SM Ops Administrator group from SM Administration using the Import supplier contacts from sourcing task.

Alternatively, the Designated Support Contact (DSC) can request the parameters to be set to Yes.

Additional Information

For information on migrating users manually, see How to manually migrate supplier users

Please note that if the contact being migrated from Sourcing has an existing duplicate in SLP, even if it is deactivated, the data imported will be used to update the existing contact, not to push a new one. In this situation, you can change the email address of the SLP contact so the system will not recognize it as a match to be updated.
