These instructions will help you build a basic Guided Buying site which can be used for stakeholder demonstrations or as a platform for your specific configurations .
1. Download the BaselineGBTemplate.json file from the attachments on this support note. Save it with a name that you want to use. Example: CUSTOMERNAME.JSON
2. In CUSTOMERNAME.JSON, replace all site name with your site name.
3. Now, download your JSON file from the unbuilt//base/new GB realm and name it, say, CUSTOMERREALMNAME-ORIGINAL.JSON.
4. Open CUSTOMERREALMNAME-ORIGINAL.JSON and search for the word ‘PopularPage’. About 3 to 4 lines above it, copy and make a note of the uniqueName. It will look something like this: "Yxx5a1039f-ed3e-4579-b518-710fc218fdax1xxx".
Note: If you are already live on other Buying & Invoicing solutions, then check for more than one ‘PopularPage’ reference in the JSON file. If you find more than one, then identify which is the right one.
5. In the CUSTOMERNAME.JSON file search for the word ‘PopularPage’ again.
In this part of the code, just 3 to 4 lines above, replace the uniquename value with the one that you copied from CUSTOMERREALMNAME-ORIGINAL.JSON.
6. Go to the Admin section of your GB site and upload all relevant images. You can utilize the images attached to this support note.
7. Upload CUSTOMERNAME.JSON file to your GB site.
What if images do not show up immediately?
Images could take few minutes to display, especially if the file size is large. Limit your upload to 10 images at one time for best performance.
You might want to Check and Change commodities of tiles.
Check and change any commodity code that you need to in the JSON file or directly make changes on the 'Mange Using UI' option of GB Admin site.
