Symptom

I received a Security Update notification regarding an SAP Website Certificate Renewal. Will I be impacted? What action is required?

Cause

Receiving an SAP Business Network Website Certificate Renewal notification means that some certificates used to connect with SAP Business Network products will soon be changed. This typically occurs when the current certificate for a URL is due to expire.

Resolution

You must import the new certificate(s) into your keystore if you connect with SAP Business Network products:

Via integration, single sign-on (SSO), API, a punchout connection, or the Procurement Mobile Application.
Using one of the impacted URLs from the Public Certificate Downloads page under the Next Scheduled Certificate Update Information section.

If you are not using any of the impacted URLs to connect to SAP Business Network no action is required.

If you are unsure whether you will be impacted by an upcoming certificate renewal, contact your IT department to confirm. SAP Support is unable to confirm if you will be impacted.

For most URLs, you will have to download and import either the RSA or ECC certificate. The certificate you choose typically depends on your configuration. Contact your IT department to confirm which certificate is needed.

If you connect to SAP Business Network using SSO or API, you must select the RSA certificate.

When making a change to the certificate, do not remove or replace the existing certificate(s) with the new ones until the certificate update process is complete on the date and time specified in the notification received.
