How do I collect the debug logs for SAP Business Network adapter for SAP NetWeaver(SAP Business Network adapter) in SAP PI for Cloud Integration (CI) scenarios?

Whenever there is an issue with Ariba CI delivered SAP Business Network adapter connection from your SAP PI, you needs to collect the cxmlSender debug logs which has actual cXML that the adapter is processing at runtime and more technical details of the error and its cause.

Refer to below steps to enable debug logs from SAP PI SAP NetWeaver Administrator (NWA) section:

• Click Troubleshooting > Logs and Traces > Log Configuration.
• Select Tracing Locations in Show.
• Enter cxmlSender in Location.
• Click Go.
• Select the entry that pops up on the screen and change the Severity to Debug.
• Click Copy to Subtree.
• Click Save Configuration.

Next, reproduce the actual issue with SAP Business Network adapter using below steps:

• If the faulty document is not available in AN Pending Queue for download, Resend the failed document to SAP Business Network Pending Queue .
• If the faculty document is available in AN Pending Queue for download, Stop and Start the SAP PI Communication Channel from Communication Channel Monitor.

Lastly, download the debug logs using below steps:

• Go to SAP NetWeaver Administrator > Troubleshooting > Log Viewer.
• Select Open View > Developer Traces.
• Select Download Files.
• Select all server node log records and click Download.
• A zip file will be downloaded to your local folder.

The default traces have extensions as .trc (E.g. defaultTrace_00.2.trc).
Default location in SAP PI server where these logs are stored is usr\sap\<PISystemID>\<PIInstanceName>\j2ee\cluster\server<n>\log.
