What is Remove Select Lots when all lots are required feature?

The Remove Select Lots when all lots are required feature is available by default to all SAP Ariba Sourcing customers as part of SAP Ariba Applications Q2 [May] 2017 Release.

To help improve the event participation experience, suppliers no longer need to complete the select lots step when all lots are required. Now, if buyers create an event that requires a response for all items, SAP Ariba Sourcing bypasses the Select Lots page and takes suppliers directly to the event content.

The Select Lots page was ideally the Step 3 of the Supplier participation checklist.

• The timing rule Specify how lot bidding will begin and end should be set as Parallel.
  
  
• The line item rule Response required for the Items or Lot should be set as Yes for all the line items and lots in the event.
  
  
• The currency rule Allow participants to select bidding currency should be set to No.

• The buyer can see and set the option Response required for this item or lot to Yes only if the bidding format is Parallel. For a Staggered or Serial event, the option Response required for this item or lot does not appear and is set to No by default.
  
  
• The Select Lots page will always be shown for Multi Currency Events even if all the Line Items/Lots are set as required as the supplier will need to select the bidding currency in this page.
