Ariba CSC Subcontracting PO with CI 9 features: would you answer a few questions?
Question

We are trying to understand the Ariba Collaborative Supply Chain (CSC) features released in Cloud Integration Version 9 (CI 9).

Following are few questions, which I hope you will answer for us.

  1. Are there any restrictions on using specific tcodes only in SAP for outbound delivery? For example: Tcodes: ME2ON, subcontracting (subcon) custom transaction in subcon cockpit, VL42N.
  2. Is there any process to handle Return of components Process in subcontracting?

    • Address damages component
    • Address excess components left over from previous subcon order

  3. Consumption is complete box in the Report consumption screen for Subcon purchase orders (POs) in SAP Ariba: Does it have any impact on SAP PO or GR-specific field ?
Answer

Answers to the previously stated questions:

1. There are no restrictions on using specific tcodes. You can use ME2O or ME2ON for creating outbound delivery, and for changing delivery you need to use VL02N. There is no tcode called VL42N. I assume that is typographical error. You can also use custom developed tcode for outbound delivery. Basically it is triggered by movement type 541 (one step) and 30A (two step). We are maintaining the parameter and restricting by movement types only.

2. We don?t support the Return of components Process in AN. This offline process will be managed through subsequent adjustment transaction code MIGO_GS or MB04 with reference to the PO.

3. Consumption is complete box in the Report consumption screen for Subcon POs in Ariba has no impact on the SAP PO or GR-specific field.
