Users attempting to update their user profile are unable to find specific groups. These groups include Customer Administrator, Product Support, Integration Admin, Technical Support, Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Manager, Procurement Agent, Audit User, Procurement Manager, Commodity Code Manager, Sourcing Project Administrator, Event Administrator, and Surrogate Bidders.
Users attempting to add groups to a user from the User Administration section also cannot find these groups.
These groups contain sensitive permissions. A system-level parameter called SensitivePermissions controls what permissions are classified as sensitive. The following permissions are included:
- project.sourcing.manage
- bid.delete
- bid.surrogate
- AuditViewer
- ScheduledTasks
- IntegrationEvents
- ParametersEditor
- UserSessions
- ActOnBehalf
- CommodityCodeManager
- CustomizationFiles
- ASNSettings
- BrandingSettings
If a group inherits one of these permissions, the only users who can see the group during a search are users who already have the permission via some other group. For example:
Both the Commodity Code Manager and Purchasing Agent groups inherit the CommodityCodeManager permission. If a user already has the Commodity Code Manager group assignment, they can add the Purchasing Agent group to their user profile, because they already have the sensitive permission assigned via the Commodity Code Manager group. If they are not assigned the Commodity Code Manager group, they would not see the group in the search results.
If you need access to a group but are unable to find it, contact your Customer Administrator as they, most likely, already have the required permissions needed to add you to these group. If you are a Customer Administrator and cannot view a group, you may contact SAP Ariba Support to confirm which users of the site have sensitive accesses.
The list of permissions that are classified as sensitive is not configurable.
