How do I create a Team Member Rules (TMR) file for my project template?
How to automatically populate the Team tab of my project based on field values selected during project creation?
When a project is created automatically, you can use team member rules (TMR) files to add project team members. TMR files allow you to:
- Pre-populate the Project Owner group from a template.
- Adding users to the Project Owner group in a template using the Team tab allows those users to become members of the Project Owner group for that template project only.
- Standardize your template creation process by creating different rules files for different projects.
To create a TMR file:
- Click Manage > Templates.
- Select the template to edit (template must be in Draft status. If the status is Active, create a New version of it to make changes).
- Click the Teams tab, then click Actions > Team Member Rules.
- Click Download Template to download the template containing the project's current groups and fields.
- Save the XLS file and edit the values according to the TMR values table found here.
Once you have the TMR file ready, import it following these steps:
- Click the template's Team tab.
- Click Actions > Team Member Rules > Upload Rules File.
- Browse for your saved file, add an optional description, and set the other properties.
- Click Create.
The uploaded TMR file now appears and can be managed on the Documents tab within the template.
