How do I know if I'm exempt from Ariba fees?
Question

How do I know if I'm exempt from Ariba fees?

Answer

Your company needs to meet two requirements to be exempt from paying Transaction Service fees:

  1. Your company needs to upload one of the following certifications to your Ariba company profile:
    • HUBZone Certified or 8(a) Certified
    • Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) registered with the Small Business Administration
    • Women-Owned Business certified by WBENC (Women's Business Enterprise National Council) or NWBOC (National Women Business Owner's Corporation)
    • Minority-Owned Business certified by NMSDC or Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) registered with the Small Business Administration
  2. The customer you are transacting with over Ariba Network needs to be in the public sector. Ariba considers the following organizations as public sector:
    • Federal government
    • State government and state universities
    • Local government (city, county, township, school district)
    • Non-profit organizations, as certified by the IRS 501(c)(3) definition

For additional information you can also check our Ariba Network Portal for Suppliers where you would find information about Ariba, Billing and helpful articles explaining how to manage your Ariba Account.

Additional Information

You are exempt from subscription fees for only your relationship with this particular customer. If you have multiple customer relationships in your account, you are still responsible for paying applicable fees for those relationships.
