Why I'm not able to locate a supplier to add to a supplier group?

I'm searching for a supplier to add to a supplier group under Supplier Enablement > Supplier Groups in the Ariba Network, but I cannot find them. Why is my supplier not appearing in this search?

How can I make my supplier to appear in the search to add them to my supplier group?

Answer

This can happen for two reasons:

  1. This supplier is already added to another supplier group. Since a supplier account can only belong to a single supplier group, you will need to remove it from that group before you can locate and add it to the intended group.

    To find out if the supplier is already in a supplier group, locate the supplier under Supplier Enablement > Active Relationships and look at the Group column. 

  2. The supplier has not accepted the trading relationship.  

         Verify with your supplier that they have received and accepted the trading relationship you have sent to them.
