How to change the default Unit of Measure (UoM) Each at the site or template level?

Changing the default UoM at the site or template level is not possible. You can only change it in events by clicking the default value and selecting another value from the list.

For Material Master Items in an event, if parameter Application.AQS.RFX.SyncUoMForItem set to Yes in your site, the first time the UoM for a quantity-type term is changed by ticking checkbox Apply the UoM to all Quantity terms for this line item., the UoM is automatically changed for all quantity-type terms in the same item. The new UoM also becomes the default UoM for all new quantity terms added to this item.

This parameter can be enabled by a member of Customer Administrator group, through Intelligent Configuration Manager (ICM) in Administration > Intelligent Configuration Manager > Manage Configurations > Continue > Sourcing and Contracts > Parameters.
