Error message being displayed when uploading a catalog in SAP Business Network:

Number of actual items(X)does not match ITEMCOUNT: X.

Possible causes for this error are the following:

• An item description has an extra carriage return (extra Enter key at the end of the Item Description column).
• A short name has an extra carriage return (extra Enter key at the end of the Short Name column).
• The last row of the catalog has an incorrect end line (with spaces): END OF DATA.
• Values in the header contain spaces before and / or after the value.

Make the following corrections, and re-import the catalog file:

• Remove any extra carriage returns from the Item Description column data.
• Remove any extra carriage returns from the Short Name column data.
• Ensure there are no spaces in the last row of the catalog: ENDOFDATA.
• Ensure there are no spaces before nor after the values.
