How do I create or update users through import?


Resolution

To create or update users in bulk through data import:

  1. Go to User Manager > Data Import/Export (or Site Manager > Data Import/Export).
  2. Click Export next to the desired task (as a best practice, save a copy as a backup). The following table will help you determine which file to export based on the product you are managing:

  3. After completing your changes to the exported file, access the Import tab.
  4. Click Import next to the task associated with the product you are managing.
  5. Select the appropriate import operation:
    • Load: Creates new users and updates existing users you specify in the worksheet.
    • Create: Creates new users you specify in the worksheet.
    • Update Only: Updates the existing users you specify in the worksheet.
    • Deactivate: Deactivates users you specify in the worksheet.
  6. Click Run > Ok.

If your Ariba Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management Solutions are integrated with Ariba Procurement and Invoicing Solutions, load your user data in CSV format by going to Manage > Core Administration.

Note: Use a separate data import task to import supplier users.
