How can I save a report in a Public Folder and limit its access to specific users or groups?
To save a report in a Public Folder:
- Run the report and then click Save or Save As.
- Enter a name in the Report Name field.
- If you are saving changes to a report on your dashboard, click Update dashboard to use this version.
- Click Current Project and select the appropriate folder.
- Click Public Reports.
- Click Save.
You can then access the Public Report and limit its access controls using the following steps:
- Click Manage > Public Reports
- Locate the desired report in the Public Reports Folder or subfolder.
- Click Actions > Create > Folder.
- To create a subfolder in another folder, click the folder > Create > Folder
- Enter a name and optional description for the folder
To limit access to the folder and the reports within the folder
- Set the owner to the user or user group which should have access.
- Set the Access Control to Owner/Administrator Only.
- Click Save.
