What makes an event competitive?
Events become competitive when the request for proposal (RFP) or auction template requires one of the following:
- Participants must improve their bids.
- Your site compares suppliers' bids.
When you disable the rule that requires participants to improve their bids, the event becomes non-competitive and three additional bidding rules disappear
The following table describes the rules that make an event competitive:

- No tie bids for rank 3 or better
