What do the green, yellow, and red colors of the traffic light icon mean in an auction?
Symptom

While responding to an auction, I see a traffic light icon in green, yellow, or red, but I do not know what it means.

Cause

Buyers can define bidding rules in auctions. One such rule is to show traffic light bidding icons for a specific lot or item. Buyers can configure the values at which each of the traffic light icons displays for a lot or item in the event. This feature allows suppliers to see a green, yellow, or red traffic light icon next to a lot or item during the bidding process.

Resolution

In traffic light auctions, you can submit decreasing bids and receive immediate feedback about whether your bid is considered during the selection process. This provides a quick and easy way to view your position in an auction and enables you to improve your bids.

You can see other traffic light details defined by the buyer in the Submit bid section.

You see the yellow traffic light icon when:

You see the red traffic light icon when:

For example, if the start price for an item is USD 500, the buyer can configure the green traffic light icon to display bids of USD 400 and lower. In the same event, they can configure the yellow traffic light icon to display for bids $450 and lower. The red traffic light icon would display bids of USD 450 and higher.
