What triggers the Unit or Extended Bidding option when editing a line item?
User needs to activate the Unit or Extended Bidding option when editing a line item.
Depending on the configuration of the Event, the Unit or Extended Bidding is triggered in the Event Template or Sourcing Request template if the event is created within. Prior to making any changes to the template, please ensure you have a valid backup.
- Event Template
- Manage > Templates > [Event Template Name] > Documents > [Event Name] > Open
- Click Content > [Item Definitions] > View.
- Under the Bidding Rules section check Extended Bidding Term value. If it's set to None then the Unit or Extended Bidding should not appear.
- Sourcing Request Template: Since Sourcing Request Items document is not an actual event, the Extended Bidding Term option is not visible. To resolve this you need to edit the template:
- Manage > Templates > [Souring Request Template Name] > New Version.
- Under Documents > [Sourcing Request Item] > Edit > Content > [Item Template Definitions] > Edit.
- Delete the current term set as the Extended Bidding Term for example Extended Price and save the item definition.
- Edit the item definition again and add back the Extended Price term.
- Publish the template.
