How do I get the Order's EP number for a requisition stuck in ordering?
Symptom

I need to import a response or check the status in my ERP for an order stuck in Ordering. How do I get the Order ID for my order?

Resolution

You need to enable the parameter Application.Procure.ShowPoUniqueNameOnUIForERPOrder in the realm to see the Ariba EP number in the PO summary screen for the Purchase Orders in Ordering status.

The Ariba EP Number is only available in the Purchase Order summary screen and not on the Requisition summary. Perform the below steps to see the Purchase Order summary screen if the order is stuck with ERP and no OrderID is available.

  1. Go to Search.
  2. Select Type as Purchase Orders.
  3. Provide the requisition number in the Requisition ID filter.
  4. Click on Search.
  5. From the results retrieved, Click the PO Title hyperlink.
  6. Purchase Order Summary screen will be available with EP Number.

Another alternate way to fetch the EP Number is to create a report:
  1. Click Create > Analytical Report.
  2. Set Fact to Requisition.
  3. Add any measure by clicking on the Measure > Add to Report > Next.
The measure is required but not relevant for our needs.
  4. Find PO ID in the available hierarchies and click add as Detail field.
  5. Under the Detail fields, click on Requisition ID and add as Page field.
  6. Click Next.

Next, we need to filter the report to our requisition IDs:

  1. On the Requisition ID drop down click Select Others and find your PR
  2. If there are too many results, you can alternatively filter by status = ordering to find all ordering requisitions
  3. Select the applicable PR
  4. Click Include

Finally, run the report:

  1. Click Done
  2. To see the details, click Aggregate view and switch to Detail View
  3. Click OK

If you see any data as unclassified in the report it simply means no data is available (that is, it's a blank or null value).

You can export the report or save this report to help get this information on demand in the future.
